Introducing The Jet-Puffed S’moagie
What defines a sandwich has ignited a fiery online debate for years. On National Sandwich Day, Jet-Puffed Marshmallows wanted to steal the spotlight. Could a world of savory sandwich lovers consider s’mores sandwiches? Twitter lit up with tweets taking on both sides, but we settled the debate by featuring the ‘Smoagie’ on a real sandwich shop menu. Not just any menu, but one revered by die-hard sandwich ethusiasts and respected by esteemed critics alike,
AKA New Yorkers.
TLDR: a s’more is a sandwich 🥪 and we’re calling it a S’moagie (where a S’more meets a hoagie).
But…how?
We started a debate where debates go viral.
We made it real in a city where great sandwiches are debated all the time: New York.
And even went nationwide, so everyone debating online could have a taste.
And we wrote these lines and shot these photos to introduce the world
and the internet to the S’moagie.
Some people wanted to live inside the S’moagie. While it made others want to commit crime.
Even other
SANDWICH brands
confirmed s’mores
were sandwiches.
At the end of day,
we got marshmallows on the map for a national holiday celebrating real sandwiches… plus a funny sandwich name on a real menu.
The legendary, sweet, S’moagie will now come back every year on Sandwich Day at Alidoro. Here’s what we layered together: graham cracker-infused milk bread, charred Jet-Puffed Marshmallows, a dark chocolate, sea salt spread, crispy prosciutto, and a brown sugar glaze.
