I am a world racquetball champion.
How you ask? I shoot my shots.
I got my chance to play amongst the best because I practiced five times a week with my dad. And… I’ve been known to shoot my shot. I was seven when I wrote my first form of long copy to the US Racquetball Association in the form of a letter. I asked them for a scholarship so I could afford to attend my first National competition.
Eventually, I became a world champ because of that letter and defeated the odds stacked up against a first-gen kid in a world where traveling for sport is luxury. The point is: you are in fact looking at someone who played on the US Junior Olympic Team and brought some medals back. Sure, I had one front tooth, but I always shoot my shots.
I just traded a racquet for a pen.
Shots for pitches.
And medals for slack emojis in response to my ideas 🙄
And here’s a picture of me with all of my teeth… along with my contact info.
